Frederik Croene, Marlies Cornelis and Emi See @ LOGOS

Logos Foundation Ghent

Composer/pianist Frederik Croene presents six short pieces played on a midi keyboard. Under each key is a sound fragment. He has selected short, alienating sound fragments from his own recordings that tell a completely new story in a tight pianistic straitjacket. An ironic, light-hearted take on his generally somewhat-loaded oeuvre.

Emi See and Marlies Cornelis met each other during their Masters at KASK/Conservatorium Gent. Besides the year they were born (1997) and an interest in contemporary music, they also share a fascination for nostalgia. Despite growing up in totally different parts of the world, they have similar kind of memories (such as the same TV programs, candy, and games) of their childhood. From this idea, they have started their project.
